TAILORING
Kate had the opportunity to make a bespoke tailored costume for the character Jacob Marley in The Richard Burton's Production of A Christmas Carol in 2023. Using her knowledge from her undergraduate degree combined with some costume magic, Kate successfully created the design while also making it a fully function quick change costume.
FINAL COLELCTION - LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION 2022
Kate graduated in BA Bespoke Tailoring from the London College of Fashion in 2022. Her final collection was titled 'Hiraeth' and each look was inspired by Welsh history and culture. Each garment was designed, constructed and finished by Kate all of which were constructed using traditional bespoke tailoring techniques.
During Kate's time at the London College of Fashion, she had the opportunity to get involved with a sponsorship project with Scabal, a tailoring house on Savile Row. The Tailors of Tomorrow - Scabal x London College of Fashion Project was a collaboration which gave the opportunity for students to showcase their work to Scabal and present their ideas on the changing world post Covid-19.Kate won the Portfolio Prize and the Making Prize for this project, with an cash prize for both.
