ABOUT KATE 

With an BA in bespoke tailoring from the London College of Fashion and an MA in Design for Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Kate has the expertise to create bespoke costumes

Kate love collaborating with clients to create a vision that fits perfectly with their production. From the initial sketches to the final fittings, Kate works closely with clients to ensure that the costumes perfectly capture the essence of their project.
Kate love the challenge of creating unique pieces that stand out, is passionate about the weird and the wonderful, and uses her knowledge and skills to bring even the most unconventional ideas to life. Nothing is too difficult or too obscure when it comes to Kate's craft, and is always looking for new ways to push herself and my her makes.

During Kate's time at the London College of Fashion, she had the opportunity to get involved with a sponsorship project with a Scabal, a tailoring house on Savile Row. The Tailors of Tomorrow - Scabal x London College of Fashion Project was a collaboration which gave the opportunity for students to showcase their work to Scabal and present their ideas on the changing world post Covid-19.
Kate won the Portfolio Prize and the Making Prize for this project, with an cash prize for both. Kate also had her work displayed in their window during the winter of 2022.

During Kate's time at Cardiff Arts Academy, the students had an opportunity in a sponsorship project with MelIn Tregwynt and  IKEA to recreate an Ivar chair into a piece of art. Kate titled her piece 'The Previous Life of Ivar' and had her work displayed at the IKEA store in Cardiff. More information can be found on the MelIn Tregwynt  webstire.

AWARDS AND ACHEIVMENTS 

During Kate's first term at Cardiff Arts Academy a project was sponsored by John Lewis Cardiff. They had requested that each student construct a paper sculpture on a mannequin for them to be displayed in their store. Kate's paper dress was one of the paper sculptures to be chosen to go on display over November and December 2017.
